In a secluded spot, just a stone’s throw from the Oltrarno area, Riva Lofts awaits your arrival. Here, in the peace of our secret garden, in a quiet residential area, you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere. You will be greeted with a smile by our friendly staff, as you enter the hotel. This owner-run boutique hotel is your home away from home, and every little luxury is yours to be enjoyed. Halfway between being at home and away, these lofts, while maintaining their modern vision, stand as a testimony to their rich cultural history. This group of buildings, which looks in the historical picture of the Alinari Family Collection rather like a small country hamlet in the Tuscan countryside, was a small factory in 1880, later transformed into artisans’ workshops. In 1999 Claudio Nardi made it his atelier of architectural design, a place where ideas are born and compared, followed by the necessary changes that make them practicable. The same tradition continues thanks to this new experience, as the same Architect has now transformed them into “a home for guests”. Exquisite idleness or sweet relaxation? You’re not sure which of these small pleasures to choose, then why not sit in the large living room with stone walls, cross vaults, bookshelves and a large fireplace, or sunbathe in the garden next to the spectacular white sandstone pool? Or do you prefer to take a bike to go out and explore the city? After all, you’re in Florence, cradle of the Renaissance, even if the serenity of Riva Lofts is a little luxury that makes it easy to forget that you’re in a UNESCO World Heritage city. French-style studios, between 300 to 1000 square feet, blending metropolitan lifestyle with a welcoming and domestic atmosphere. Warm, yet pure and contemporary atmosphere in these distinctive spaces is due to a serie of recovered historic elements, modern antiques, 1950’s furniture , old and new materials like wood and corian, and examples of sophisticated design like the kitchens again designed by Claudio Nardi. Guests can also enjoy a spacious sitting room with stone walls, cross vaults, bookcases and large fireplace, with a large picture window overlooking the private garden and the spectacular white sandstone pool.
